About Ethiopian food

A cuisine built on spice, patience, and sharing.

Ethiopian dining brings people together around one generous platter. Soft injera anchors every meal, soaking up rich stews, fragrant lentils, greens, and slow-braised meats. The balance comes from berbere heat, clarified butter, garlic, ginger, and herbs that deepen as they cook.

Muya Catering preserves that spirit for gatherings of every size. The menu is designed for communal eating, with bright colors, layered flavors, and a mix of comforting classics and celebration dishes that feel abundant on the table.

Community table

The experience is built for people to gather around one table and eat together.

Injera first

Every spread begins with fresh injera, the soft sourdough flatbread that turns each dish into a shared experience.

Layered spice

Berbere, turmeric, garlic, and onion are cooked with care to build warmth and depth rather than flat heat.

Designed for community dining

Whether you are feeding a household, an office celebration, or a larger event, the menu is organized to create contrast on one table: rich red wots, milder alecha dishes, greens, cheeses, and different kitfo preparations.

About the chef

Founder-led cooking rooted in Ethiopian hospitality.

Muya Catering is led by a founder who cooks with the discipline of traditional home preparation and the consistency needed for events. The focus stays on patient flavor building: onions softened fully, berbere opened properly, niter kibbeh used with restraint, and each tray balanced for a complete table.

That approach keeps the food authentic while making service practical for real events. Whether the order is a full premium package, fasting-friendly foil trays, or a large Doro Wot add-on, the goal is the same: warm, generous food that feels made for sharing.

Testimonials

What clients say after the trays are empty.

Muya Catering made our family celebration feel like a real feast. The injera was fresh, the key wot had depth, and every tray arrived beautifully prepared.

Rahel T.

We booked the Gold package for a graduation dinner and it was the easiest part of the event. Guests kept asking who made the doro and kitfo.

Daniel G.

The foil trays were perfect for our fasting gathering. The flavors were bright, the portions were generous, and the ordering process was smooth.

Meron H.

Large group catering can feel generic. This did not. Muya delivered food with warmth, spice balance, and the kind of presentation that invites everyone to gather around the table.
